Explore the Milky Way Galaxy through Northwestern’s historic 18.5 foot refracting telescope. Tour the observatory and learn about its history before taking your turn to peer through the telescope. Note: The observatory is not ADA-accessible. Several staircases must be climbed to reach the telescope. It is also open to the night sky, so dress for the weather. Viewing is only guaranteed on clear nights. In case of rain the dome will not be opened, but there will still be a program.
Plan to arrive by 7:50. We will gather in the lobby. The tour lasts from 8-9 pm. Here is a link for directions and parking https://www.physics.northwestern.edu/about/dearborn-observatory/directions-and-parking.html There is no charge for parking after 6 pm.
