Join us for a lively discussion of contemporary literature!
We will be discussing A Well-Behaved Woman by Therese Anne Fowler. Marrying into the newly rich but socially scorned Vanderbilt clan, a formerly impoverished Alva Smith navigates society snubs and dark undercurrents in the lives of her in-laws and friends while testing the limits of her ambitious rule-breaking. Alva defies convention for women of her time, becoming a leader in the women's suffrage movement. Join us as we explore the mesmerizing life of a Gilded Age feminist icon.
