In this live Zoom program, art historian Jeff Mishur will discuss the artist's prolific years in Southern France.
After beginning his artistic career in Holland, Vincent van Gogh traveled to Paris before heading south. Mishur will discuss examples of portraiture, landscape and still life, including "Self Portrait as a Bonze," "Starry Night," and "Oleanders."
Jeff Mishur is co-owner of Art Excursions, Inc., a company that provides art related lectures and tours in the United States and private guiding in Chicago. Mishur has taught art history at the university level for more than twenty years.
