Join Peter Garino for a presentation of his new film, By Help of Devils, looking at a collection of Shakespeare’s villains and their motivations for doing terrible things.

Join Peter Garino for a presentation of his new film, By Help of Devils, looking at a collection of Shakespeare’s villains and their motivations for doing terrible things.
By Help of Devils examines the many motivations for evil from the perspective of 14 different Shakespeare characters. Directed by Helene Augustyniak and Peter Garino with a musical score by Leica Wilde. Each screening will be followed by a discussion with the creative team.
Peter Garino is Artistic Director of Shakespeare Project of Chicago. The program includes performances from Macbeth, Hamlet, King Lear, Richard III, The Rape of Lucrece, and more.
This program is funded by the Friends of the Wilmette Public Library.
