Facing the death of ourselves or a loved one is one the hardest of human emotions. But what happens when we treat humans at the end of life with the same dignity and care as those at the beginning? This is hospice care.
Join Aidan McCormack, volunteer coordinator with Moments Hospice, as we dispel the myths and explore the very heart of hospice. Hospice isn’t a place or a death sentence, but a mode of care that provides optimal quality of life for someone living through the end of life. It’s care that extends beyond the patient to the entire family with a range of services and supports. Come with your questions and leave inspired by the profound work of hospice.
Aidan McCormack is a passionate community connector linking people with their best chance to make a real difference. Aidan served as chaplain at both Rush University Medical Center and Elmhurst Hospital. This professional experience, plus accompanying family through the end-of-life, drives Aidan’s love of hospice.
