Walk around Wilmette with other community members while listening to your audiobook!
BYOB audiobook! This program is a take on the Silent Book Club concept where participants read in silence with other readers. For this program, participants will walk around Wilmette with fellow community members for roughly 30 minutes while listening to your own chosen audiobook.
Meet at the flagpole, we'll leave around 10:00 am, introduce ourselves, audiobooks turn on, and librarian Jillian McKeown will lead the group through Wilmette. We'll end back at the library to talk about the experience of walking and listening, and share out about our audiobooks.

The Silent Book Club as an organization set out to unite a global community of book lovers through the shared joy of reading together, and we're excited to host this special type of book club, hosted by the Wilmette Library.
From the south: Go north on Green Bay Road. Turn left on Wilmette Ave. Turn right on Park Ave. Library is located on the corner of Wilmette Ave. and Park Ave. Parking lot is on the north side of the building.
From the north: Go south on Green Bay Road. Turn right on Wilmette Ave. Turn right on Park Ave. Library is located on the corner of Wilmette Ave. and Park Ave. Parking lot is on the north side of the building.
From I-94 (Edens Expressway):from the South - exit at Lake Ave. East. Go east on Lake Ave. a little over 2 miles. Turn right on Park Ave. • from the North - exit at Rt. 41/Skokie Blvd. Turn left (east) on Lake Ave. Go east on Lake Ave. a little over 2 miles. Turn right on Park Ave.
Mass transit options include CTA, Metra, and Pace.
