We will be discussing The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. This accomplished writer's debut novel centers around Rahel and her twin brother, Estha in Kerala, India. Despite being prosperous, they struggle to forge a childhood together amid the destruction of their family life. In December 1969, they discover that the entire world can be transformed in a single moment. A mystery weaves through this beautiful tale of childhood innocence lost.
Copies of the book are available at the library. Additionally, ebook and eaudiobook copies are available on Digital Library of Illinois and through the Libby app.
