Celebrate Wilmette's Sesquicentennial by learning about the history of The Bahá’í Temple in Wilmette with a behind-the-scenes tour of the building, gardens, Bahá’í faith and history.
The Bahá’í Temple in Wilmette is one of only eight continental Bahá’í Houses of Worship in the world and the only one in all of North America. It was voted one of the seven wonders of Illinois in 2009. Why was it built in Wilmette? How was it made? How long did it take to build? What are the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith? Can anyone go inside?
Ellen Price, a Temple Coordinator, will answers these and other questions in this virtual presentation that will include video footage, photos, and live Q&A.
