Zoom Adult/TeenWhat’s in a name? Discover how Chicago’s 77 community areas came to be and their relationship to Chicago neighborhoods.
Join Peter T. Alter in an exploration of the intellectual and social history of the community areas and neighborhood naming during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Peter T. Alter is Chief Historian and Director of the Studs Terkel Center for Oral History Chicago and a member of the Chicago History Museum Curatorial Staff.
Registrants will be emailed the link to attend within two hours of the program. This program will not be recorded.
