In partnership with Evanston Public Library, this presentation by YWCA educators will talk about how to look beyond the binary and recognize signs that a queer relationship is unhealthy or abusive.
Domestic violence work often heavily emphasizes heteronormative dynamics and traditional gender roles, but the truth is that people of any gender or sexuality can harm or be harmed in relationships. In this virtual session, educators from the YWCA will talk about how to look beyond the binary and recognize red flags that a queer relationship is unhealthy or abusive, as well as share resources for supporting anyone who has experienced interpersonal violence.
Queer Aid virtual workshops are dedicated to the legal and mental wellness of the LGBTQIA+ community. Evanston and Wilmette Public Libraries, in partnership with community organizations, invite you to learn about resources and pathways that support you and your loved ones in a safe and affirming space.
