Bey is an influential voice in urban planning, architecture and design, and Chicago history. He is also a member of the Sun-Times editorial board, where he brings sharp insights into city governance, neighborhood development, politics, and the built environment.
Bey is the author of the highly praised book Southern Exposure: The Overlooked Architecture of Chicago’s South Side and the host of the Emmy-nominated public television special Building Blocks: The Architecture of Chicago’s South Side on WTTW. His photography has been featured in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and international design publications, showcasing his unparalleled ability to capture the soul of Chicago's architecture.
During this special event, Bey will present insights from his acclaimed book, Southern Exposure: The Overlooked Architecture of Chicago's South Side.
