Learn how and why Ireland has transformed from slow changing and largely rural culture to a fast paced, secular, and technologically advanced island. Presented by travel pro Eugene Flynn.
Many Americans reminisce about Ireland as a magical island and most tours focus on that magic. However, over the past 50 years, Ireland has transformed from slow changing and largely rural culture to a fast paced, secular, and technologically advanced island. Gene Flynn takes us behind the scenes to understand how this occurred and the important role the United States played in this transformation. Gene will also take us to the west of Ireland, where remnants of the past rural culture can still be found.
