See Chicago from a new perspective with photographer Ronnie Frey, creator of the popular Doorways of Chicago Instagram account and author of Doorways of Chicago. Through more than 100 vibrant photographs, Frey captures the city’s most distinctive doorways, arches, cornices, and façades, revealing the character, history, and artistry often overlooked in everyday life.
Featuring images from more than 40 neighborhoods, including Bronzeville, Uptown, Lincoln Park, and the Gold Coast, this presentation explores the architectural details that give Chicago its unique identity. Frey will share stories behind some of the city’s most iconic entrances and discuss how photography can help us see familiar places with fresh eyes. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, history buff, photographer, or lifelong Chicagoan, this program offers an inspiring journey through the beauty waiting around every corner and in every doorway.
