Mah jongg came a long way from China to the US. Ever wondered what the characters (kraks), bamboos (bams) and dots represent? What's the difference between Mah jongg and mahjong? Yvonne Wolf explains the history, cultural symbols, Chinese expressions, cultural evolution of the internationally popular Chinese game of mahjong. Please note: This program will not include how to play Mahjong. All who register to attend will receive a Zoom link for the event prior to the start of the program.
