Melissa Schwartz began writing her blog A Little Time and a Keyboard in 2011 inspiring travel with a local focus, appreciation of small businesses, and exploring nature preserves with new vigor no matter where you are on the road. She further encourages readers to look at their own hometowns and states with a travel focus to explore with an invigorated eye. As an avid hiker with an environmental science background, Melissa energizes readers to experience nature whether in their local preserves or on further adventures using all of their senses appreciating even the smallest treasures. She fell in love with the nature, people, history, and culture of Iceland during her first trip in 2012. After 5 trips to Iceland, she looks forward to bringing the nation alive in this presentation.
