A look at the history and current state of refugees in America.
Join Sally Schulze, communication manager at RefugeeOne, as she explores the history of America being a place of welcome for those fleeing violence and persecution and how policy changes this year have impacted the work of RefugeeOne and the lives of countless refugees.
Since 1982, RefugeeOne has welcomed more than 20,500 refugees from every major world crisis. The organization's primary focus is to assist these resilient individuals in becoming independent, self-supporting members of their new Chicagoland community. With this legacy of welcome is at great risk, we’ll discuss ways you can support refugees already here in America and others longing for safety oversees.
