Caregivers of autistic children are invited to learn and build community at this workshop with Illinois Autism Partnership.
This workshop will provide families with practical strategies to support positive habits at home. Participants will learn how to understand the function of behavior, implement proactive supports, and use simple tools to encourage positive routines and reduce stress responses. The workshop will include a moderated Q&A and an opportunity to network with other families.
Shannon Wess, MSW, BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with an extensive background in autism service delivery and training special education professionals. Wess presents at regional, national, and international conferences and developed and launched First Response, an autism awareness training program for first responders and emergency medical personnel.
This program is presented in collaboration with School District 39's Parent Association of Student Services.
