The Village of Wilmette and Go Green Wilmette present a program on light pollution with experts from Adler Planetarium and Dark Sky Chicago. Attend in person or see below for virtual registration.
A star-filled night sky has inspired wonder for generations, but for many of us, city lights now outshine the stars. This program from the Village of Wilmette and Go Green Wilmette will explore what light pollution is, why it matters for people and wildlife, and the simple changes that can help bring the night sky back into view. The program will feature Ken Walczak, Senior Manager at the Adler Planetarium and co-founder of Dark Sky Chicago, and Adam Kreuzer, co-founder of Dark Sky Chicago, who will share their expertise and practical ideas for reducing light pollution.
