This week's C&BC will feature Maurae Gilberts McCants of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Oakton College. The Illinois SBDC at Oakton College provides no-cost, confidential guidance to entrepreneurs and small business owners at every stage of their journey. Through one-on-one advising, training programs, and access to vital resources, the center helps clients start, grow, and strengthen their businesses. Whether you’re launching a new venture or scaling an existing one, the SBDC at Oakton is a trusted partner committed to driving local economic success.
Maurae Gilbert McCants is the Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Oakton College, where she leads efforts to empower entrepreneurs and small business owners across the region. With a strong background in business development, community engagement, and program leadership, Maurae is dedicated to helping clients navigate challenges, access resources, and achieve sustainable growth.
