Join Jeff Klapes, known as the Traveling Librarian, for another of his popular armchair travel presentations. Panama City, the capital of Panama, is a vibrant seaside metropolis blending modern skyscrapers with historic neighborhoods. It's a gateway to the famous Panama Canal, a world-famous engineering marvel. Casco Viejo, the city's colonial quarter, boasts cobblestone streets and lively plazas. The city is also ringed by lush rainforests and stunning beaches, that offer rich biodiversity and adventure opportunities. Jeff is the retired Head of Reference Services at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and an avid traveler and photographer.
