Learn about the art of Cézanne with art historian Jeff Mishur of Art Excursions. This program coincides with the Cézanne exhibit at the Chicago Art Institute through September 5.
Together with his colleague Camille Pissarro and his dealer Amboise Vollard, Paul Cézanne sought to challenge the conservative art world of late 19th century Paris. Eventually, he moved beyond Impressionism and inspired a new generation of modernists. In this online class, art historian Jeff Mishur discusses Cézanne's innovative approach to traditional subjects, including still life, landscape, and the nude.
