In the past 30 years an amazing amount of building has taken place in Shanghai. Its modern metro area is the longest in the world. View the very modern as well as traditional Chinese style buildings. See the colonial European buildings in the former concession areas. Residential high rise building complexes have replaced the traditional lane houses. Upscale shopping malls are pervasive. Take a look at what’s happening in modern Shanghai.
A retired high school business teacher from Manhattan and Queens, Sheila Taub is an avid traveler who shares insights and stories from both far-flung and local destinations. Known for engaging presentations featuring stunning photography, she has spoken at libraries, community centers, and served as a guest destination lecturer on cruise ships for many years.
