Moving between intimate reflection and soaring anthems, the music captures the passion, vulnerability, resilience, and fearless individuality that defined one of the twentieth century’s most iconic artists.
Created by Linda Marie Smith, Frida Kahlo ~ A Woman Who Dared is an immersive theatrical and musical experience that brings Frida’s life and artistry vividly to the stage. Each song illuminates a defining moment in her journey, inviting audiences to experience the intensity of her loves, struggles, triumphs, and unwavering commitment to living truthfully.
Performed live with an ensemble, the score becomes the emotional heartbeat of the production. Melancholic medleys rise into uplifting passages that mirror Kahlo’s extraordinary ability to transform pain into beauty and strength, creating a heartfelt and unforgettable celebration of her enduring legacy.
