You’ve probably been hearing more and more about the beauty and energy of Mexico City. From its stunning architecture and rich, layered history to its world-renowned culinary scene, vibrant parks, and cultural landmarks, Derek Barthel will guide you through everything this remarkable city has to offer visitors. Beginning with an overview of Mexico City’s history and geography, we’ll explore its museums, parks, restaurants, and cultural institutions—discovering what makes a trip to this dynamic and beautiful city so unforgettable.
Derek Barthel is a board member of the Geographic Society of Chicago, and a graduate of NEIU's Master of Arts in Geography & Environmental Studies. In his free time, he loves traveling abroad for scuba diving, mountaineering, and eating.
