Discover the early history of Illinois, from post-Revolutionary War to Wilmette's founding in 1872.
Illinois was a political football in its early years of settlement. Cherished for its waterways, and fertile southern lands, it was initially a county of Virginia post-Revolutionary War. We'll look at the settlement of Illinois through the Indian, French, and British occupations and the eventual colonization by the immigrants and newly-minted Americans, until the incorporation of Wilmette.
Presented by Suzanne Hoffman, a local professional genealogist with more than 25 years of experience. No registration required.
